Kazakhstanis in Latvia celebrated Nauryz holiday

On 13 April 2024 in the Kazakh Cultural Centre "Saule" in Jelgava, the celebration of the vernal equinox day "Nauryz" took place.

Once again Nauryz unites not only Kazakhs living in Latvia, but also representatives of the Uzbek, Uighur, Turkmen and Bashkir diasporas, and of course - Latvian friends.

Traditions and customs of Kazakh people, dances and songs, national costumes were presented to the participants of the event. A rich dastarkhan of traditional Kazakh dishes was served.

National games, competitions and contests were organised as part of the festive event.

In addition, in the Centre "Saule" was presented a permanent photo exhibition of tourist attractions of our country under the title "My sunny Kazakhstan".

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia expresses its gratitude to the Kazakhstan Cultural Centre "Saule" for organising and conducting the event and to all compatriots and Kazakh students for their active participation and support.
