MENDYKARINSKY DISTRICT PUBLIC COUNCIL
On March 10, 2021, the Mendykarinsky District Public Council held public hearings on the issue of transferring the Kostanay region to the UTC +5 geographical time zone. Previously, citizens' gatherings, meetings of members of the local community, meetings in labor collectives, online surveys of the population on the issue of time translation were held in the district. A total of 8,510 people took part in these events, more than 50 percent of respondents opposed the transfer of time. Members of the public council made their suggestions on the issue under discussion. The Public Council of the Mendykarinsky district decided to consider it inappropriate to transfer the Kostanay region to the geographical time zone UTC +5. Publish the decision in the mass media and send it to the public council of Kostanay region. Akim of Mendykarinsky district Katarbekov N.Zh., secretary of the district maslikhat Baybulatova Zh.T. took part in the work of the public council.
