The activity includes the following functions: organization of regular intercity, inter-district (intercity intra-regional) transportation of passengers and baggage, holding competitions for the right to service them; coordination and approval of routes and schedules for regular inter-district (intercity intra-regional) transportation of passengers and baggage; maintaining a register of routes for regular inter-district (intercity intra-regional) automobile transportation of passengers and baggage; development of a comprehensive scheme of development of passenger transport and projects of the organization of traffic; licensing in accordance with legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on permits and notifications; maintenance of register of physical and legal persons who filed a notice of beginning of implementation of special training for drivers of road vehicles transporting dangerous goods IV international and intercity communications; providing the organization and equipment of taxi stands at (at) airports, train stations, stationary commercial objects of category 1 and 2, shopping markets, theaters, circuses, cinemas, cultural and leisure organizations (parks of culture and recreation), as well as squares, projects, streets, blocks; issuing certificates for the right to operate self-propelled small vessels; accounting for courses for training small-size shipmasters; making decisions on the organization of inter-district (intercity intra-regional) and suburban passenger transportation, except for cases when such a decision is made by the carrier; determining inter-district (intercity intra-regional) and suburban communications.
