The main activity is the approval of the list of highways of regional significance in agreement with the authorized state bodies on highways; approval for approval by local Executive bodies of districts of the list of highways of regional significance; development for approval in agreement with the authorized state body on highways of names and indexes of public roads of regional significance; coordination of names and indexes of public roads of regional significance approved by local Executive bodies of districts; implementation of state policy in the field of roads and road activities; organization of works on construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of public roads of regional significance, streets in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement; management of the network of public roads of regional significance, streets of localities; management of roads and road enterprises that are in municipal ownership of the region; implementation of state control during the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of highways of regional significance, streets; decision-making on the provision of public roads of regional significance or their sections for free temporary use; approval of the procedure and conditions for classification of public roads of regional and district significance; approval of the procedure for placing outdoor (visual) advertising in the right-of-way of public roads of regional and district significance; approval of the classification of types of work performed during maintenance, current, average and major repairs of streets of localities; approval of the construction of access roads and junctions to public roads of regional and district significance.
