The Department of Entrepreneurship and Trade is constantly monitoring the main indicators of the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
According to the operational data of the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as of 01.07.2019, the number of registered SMEs amounted to 61,891 units, which is 6.2% more than in the same period of 2018.
The number of operating SMEs as of 01.07.2019 amounted to 53,574 units, which is 8.6% higher compared to the same period in 2018.
As of 01.07.2019, the share of operating SMEs in the total number of registered was 86.6%, which is 2.0 percentage points higher compared to the same period in 2018.
The number of employees in SMEs as of 01.04.2019 amounted to 114,554 people.
The output of SMEs in January-March 2019 amounted to 262.6 billion tenge. The index of the physical volume of output was 132.5%.
According to statistics, the share of SMEs in the GRP of the region in January-March 2019 amounted to 21.8%.
Also, reports of microcredit organizations and the State Institution "National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan" on the number and volume of loans issued to small businesses are collected on a monthly basis.
According to the Mangystau branch of the State Institution "National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan", second-tier banks issued credit resources in the amount of 11,603.4 million tenge to small businesses in January-March of this year.
The following programs are being actively implemented in the region:
The State Business Support and Development Program "Business Roadmap 2020", within the framework of the program, financial instruments for supporting entrepreneurship are used:
- subsidies in the amount of 2.6 billion tenge were approved for the instrument of subsidizing the interest rate of loans;
- 41 guarantees in the amount of 323.1 million tenge were issued under the loan guarantee instrument.
The Department of Entrepreneurship and Trade is constantly monitoring the main indicators of the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.
JSC "Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu" within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 "Enbek" in the cities of Aktau and Zhanaozen, 47 microcredits totaling 572.3 million tenge were issued and 126 new jobs were created.
In 2018, 168 projects totaling 3.3 billion tenge were approved as part of the State Business Support and Development Program "Business Roadmap 2020". As a result of the implementation of the Unified Program, about 483 new jobs were created in 2018.
And also, since 2018, the Regional program of support for small and medium-sized businesses in the Mangystau region "Nur-Capital" is being implemented at 1%. To date, within the framework of this program, 217 projects worth 3.9 billion tenge have been approved and sent to second-tier banks, of which 70 projects worth 1.34 billion tenge have already been financed with the creation of 641 new jobs.
