The Department of Tourism Promotion and development is a structural division of the state institution "Tourism Department of Mangystau region" (hereinafter referred to as the Department).
. Main tasks, functions, rights and obligations of the Department of Tourism Promotion and development

Task 1: ensuring the development of tourist activities
Functions:
1) implementation and coordination of the state policy in the field of tourist activity in the territory of Mangystau region;
2) ensuring the implementation of the national project for the development of entrepreneurship in the field of Tourism;
3) implementation of decrees of the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on tourist activities;
4) implementation of the Action Plan of the Comprehensive Development Plan of Mangystau region in the direction of Tourism Development;
5) implementation of decisions of the Akim of Mangystau region on issues of tourist activity, decisions of sessions of the regional maslikhat;
6) promotion of tourist activities and creation of favorable conditions for its development;
7) Identification and support of priority areas of tourist activity;
8) development and implementation of measures to protect regional tourist resources;
9) submission to the authorized body of information on the implementation of the state and regional tourism development program;
10) providing information about the tourist potential, objects of Tourism and persons engaged in tourist activities;
11) approval of plans of akimats of districts and cities of regional significance in the field of Tourism;
12) conducting joint work with universities and colleges on tourism issues;
13) implementation of work on the introduction of new digital technologies in the field of Tourism;
14) development and support of entrepreneurship in the field of tourism activities as a measure of increasing employment of the population;
15) implementation of support and development of domestic and inbound tourism;
16) Organization of work on the implementation of activities in the field of tourism in the territory of the region.
17) Organization of work on consideration of the amount of financing of tourist events in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
18) coordinates issues of the personnel service of the department in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
19) making proposals for the adoption of normative legal acts aimed at improving relations in the field of tourist activity;

2. task: to ensure an improvement in the quality of tourist services
Functions:
1) analysis of the tourist services market and submission to the authorized body of the necessary information on the development of tourism in the territory of Mangystau region;
2) assistance in introducing preferential conditions for organizing tourist and excursion work among children, adolescents, youth, disabled people and low-income segments of the population;
3) assistance in the activities of children's and youth camps, tourist associations;
4) implementation of licensing of tour operator activities in accordance with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on permits and notifications";
5) interaction with public associations and associations on tourism development issues;
6) assistance in providing personnel for tourist activities, Organization of professional training of a guide;
7) maintaining the State Register of tourist routes and trails;
8) providing methodological and advisory assistance to subjects of tourist activity in matters related to the organization of tourist activities;
9) creating conditions for subjects of tourist activity in the development of Tourism;
10) creating conditions for cooperation between the regions of the tourism business;
11) preservation and rational use, accounting and protection of tourist resources, natural and historical and cultural heritage of the region in order to develop tourism;
12) conducting annual monitoring, inventory, certification of tourist objects, creating and updating an electronic database of tourist objects;
13) assistance in achieving an increase in the main target indicators of the tourism industry: the number of domestic and foreign visitors, the number of beds in places of location in the region, the general classifier of economic activities in the field of Tourism (OKed) ;
14) conducting annual monitoring, inventory, certification of tourist objects, creating and updating an electronic database of tourist objects.
15) coordination of work on reimbursement of part of the costs of business entities during the construction and reconstruction of tourist activity facilities;
16) coordination of work on approval of lists of sanitary and hygienic units, in coordination with the authorized body, for which part of the costs of their maintenance are reimbursed;
17) coordination of work on the implementation of measures for the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of access roads of regional and district significance to places of accommodation of tourists located outside localities;
18) coordination of work on reimbursement of part of the costs of business entities for the construction of roadside service facilities;
19) coordination of work on subsidizing part of the costs of business entities for the maintenance of sanitary and hygienic units;
20) coordination of work on the part of the cost of purchasing motor vehicles with a capacity of more than eight seats, with the exception of the driver's seat, for business entities engaged in tourist activities;

3. Task: promotion of tourist products of Mangystau region
Functions:
1) develops and implements joint programs with domestic and foreign partners in the field of Tourism;
2) carry out international, interregional and domestic tourist communications in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) promote the tourist product of Mangystau region and the tourist brand of the region at international tourism fairs and exhibitions;;
4) assistance in the participation of domestic tourists, tour operators and travel agents and their associations in international tourism programs;
5) participates in the organization and holding of international and national, regional forums, conferences, exhibitions, presentations, meetings and seminars, "round tables" on tourist activities;
6) carries out work on covering issues of tourist activity in the mass media and internet resources;
7) organization and conduct of expeditions to study the tourist and recreational potential of the region and develop tourist routes;
8) development and publication of maps and schemes of tourist routes in the region, tourist guides and advertising and information reference books about the tourist potential of the region;
9) assistance in the development of folk crafts corresponding to the tourist brand of the region, the production of souvenir products;
10) promote the revival and development of ethnographic culture, folk traditions characteristic of our region.
