Financial system of Mangistau region: formation and development. Mangistau branch of RSU "national Bank of Kazakhstan''

Mangystau branch RGU "national Bank of Kazakhstan"

The national currency – a symbol of Independence

25th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan – the age of full maturity state, this story is large and significant historical victories.

The past years have been special for the country: the formation of a sovereign state, domestic and foreign policy, economy, the adoption of its own Constitution and legislative acts, the introduction of its own state currency, and the determination of its own course of development.

Kazakhstan has managed from the very first day of independent life to embark on a firm course of building a developed economy and good-neighborly relations with other countries.

After gaining Commonwealth Kazakhstan - in the early 90's, there was a need to reform the banking system. In 1991, a two-level banking system was formed in our country, which is typical of countries with developed market relations.

From that moment The national Bank has become the state body responsible for monetary policy and strategy for the formation of a stable and stable domestic banking system.

All measures The government and the National Bank conducted in these years were aimed at radical reform of the monetary sphere.

By the time the tenge was introduced, the economy of Kazakhstan was in a very difficult state. At that time, the national Bank actually served as a commercial Bank, which contradicted the status of the Central Bank. By the decision of the Government, the National Bank stopped issuing direct loans to enterprises, as well as loans to the economy. By transferring the functions of lending to the economy to second-tier banks, the national Bank has focused its efforts on reducing inflation and achieving stability of the national currency, while simultaneously creating banking supervision. During this period, the regulatory framework for prudential regulation was formed, the minimum reserve requirements for second-tier banks, the minimum amount of authorized capital, the equity capital adequacy ratio in relation to risky assets, the liquidity ratio, and the maximum amount of risk per borrower were established.

After the introduction of the national currency, the country further strengthened the Foundation of its independence. This served as a bright incentive for Kazakhstan to implement economic sovereignty, despite the expected difficulties in the process of strengthening the position of both the national currency and other reforms in General. Building Kazakhstan's banking system and conducting an independent monetary and fiscal policy, strengthening the economy and dynamic development of the country in many ways became possible with the introduction of the national currency – the tenge.

The tenge is a full-fledged national currency that successfully performs the main functions of money: a measure of value, a means of payment, accumulation and circulation.

The national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan has its own symbol (〒). The specified graphic image of the tenge is a symbol of the ancient Turkic alphabet, which means the sound "t" in transcription, which begins with the word "tenge", as well as the word "Tengri", which in Russian means the deity who represents the sky, which was sacred to all Turkic peoples. This symbol expresses the idea of stability of the monetary unit, high potential, dynamics of development and growth of the national economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The national Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan is constantly working to strengthen the protection of the national currency from counterfeiting, the main purpose of which is to counteract counterfeiting, which causes huge damage to the economy as a whole, as well as to individual citizens and economic entities.

The tenge has become one of the most protected currencies in the world. The most advanced technologies are used here. In the design and security features of new banknotes, the latest achievements in the field of banknote printing applied in the international practice of the world's leading countries in reproducing complex elements of printing: relief images, metallic luster of paint, different heights of numbers, complicated watermark, increased security of paper, especially complex color-color relations on the front and back.

Along with banknotes and coins cash circulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan have circulation commemorative coins of precious (gold, silver) and base metals having the ability to pay in accordance with the designated denomination on them, but their main purpose of cultural, some of whom are internationally recognized.

I am glad that Kazakhstani coins are included in the world catalogues and acquire numismatic value, become overgrown with stories and legends, and live their own lives. Even today, some of them have become a genuine rarity not only in the domestic market, but also in the world market.

Over the years of its existence, the Tenge has confirmed the historical necessity of introducing a national currency and has shown that monetary policy is carried out for the benefit of the people of Kazakhstan and serves to strengthen the country's economy.

The history of the Mangistau branch of the National Bank dates back to 1973.

The regional office of the state Bank took an active part in the development of the Mangyshlak Peninsula, its industry, trade, agriculture, in the construction of the city and its industrial facilities. Lending and financing of such major facilities as the Caspian mining and metallurgical combine, Mangyshlakneft, Mangyshlak power plant (the world's first fast-neutron nuclear desalination plant bn-350), the Kazakh gas processing plant, Mangyshlakrybkholodflot AND many, many others were carried out.

In December 1990, after the restoration of the region, the Mangystau regional administration was re-established State Bank of the USSR. Satkinova Fanu Satkinovna was appointed head of the regional administration, who later became the Director of the Mangistau branch of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In November 1993, when the national currency – tenge was introduced, the Mangistau regional Department of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and five cash and settlement centers in the districts and cities of the region coordinated the work on exchange in the region.

The Mangystau branch still employs people who took an active part in the introduction of tenge.

The Mangistau branch is charged with the tasks of assisting the National Bank in carrying out the monetary policy of the state, ensuring currency regulation and currency control, ensuring the stability of the financial system, monitoring and supervising the financial market and financial organizations, and ensuring an appropriate level of protection of the rights and legitimate interests of consumers of financial services.

The branch, in accordance with the tasks assigned to it, performs functions for timely and full provision of cash to economic entities through second-level banks.

The Mangystau branch is working on the formation of the balance of payments in order to control foreign economic flows of the country's non-state sector with other countries. The branch takes part in the activities of the National Bank for the development of non-cash payments.

Over the years of Independence, the banking sector has shown itself as a strong organism that has managed to survive in different periods of our economy's development.

To date, the region is represented by 23 branches of second-level banks (21 branches in the regional center), 82 additional premises, 96 exchange offices, including 88 banks, 6 authorized organizations, and 2 Kazpost JSC. In addition, there are 2 microfinance organizations in the region.

The years of Independence of the country can be compared with the period of formation and growing up of a person. The past years have created a strong Foundation for the state.

Every year of independence, we become more Mature, confident and strong. We remember our history, evaluate what we have experienced and done, and see positive changes and political stability in the country.

Today, Kazakhstan is an authoritative member of the world community, a modern democratic state with a developed economy and high economic potential. In the eyes of the whole world, modern Kazakhstan is a great nation and a great country.

Please accept our sincere congratulations on the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

I wish you real human happiness, good health, peace, understanding and harmony, prosperity and prosperity in every home, confidence in the future, great achievements for the prosperity of our country!
