We inform you about the internal analysis of corruption risks in the activities of the state institution «Department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Mangystau region».
On the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Republic of Kazakhstan, on May 6, 2024, the head of the Department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Mangystau region, Nurbol Telegenov, met with the First Secretary of the Embassy, Mrs. Firm Agustina.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Department for the Coordination of Employment and social programs of the Mangystau region Asset Shopanov, Senior Inspector of the Department of Migration Service for the Mangystau region, Police Lieutenant Colonel Asylbek Orazgaliyev, as well as assistant Akim of the Mangystau region Adilet Abishev, Deputy head of the Department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Mangystau region Raushan Kaliyeva, head of the Department for control and analysis of collective labor relations of the State Inspection Department Zhanerke Khayatullayeva, a worker of the Mangystau region.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged bilateral views and shared information on the issues of labor relations between foreign workers and employers, protection of the rights and freedoms of foreign workers, and attracting foreign labor.
Kemalov Bauyrzhan Bilyalovich was appointed head of the Department of Control of Legislation on safety and Labor Protection of the Department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Mangystau region.
On April 29, 2024, the Department of the State Labor Inspectorate of the Mangystau region held a round table dedicated to the World Labor Protection Day.
The event was attended by representatives of manufacturing companies of the Mangystau region and specialists responsible for occupational safety. During the meeting, Deputy Akim of the region Kanat Kulzhanov noted the importance of occupational safety. Employees who have made an active contribution to improving occupational safety and health were awarded letters of thanks from the akim of the region.
In addition, information was provided on accidents in the production process in the region: in the Mangystau region in 2023, 45 people were injured in production, 11 of them died. In the 1st quarter of 2024, 13 people were injured at work, including 2 people who died. Compared to the same period in 2023 (7 people were injured, 2 people died) in 2024, the number of victims increased by 6 people, respectively, by 86 percent.

In order to promote the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases at work since 2003, the International Labour Organization (ILO) April 28 has been declared World Labor Protection Day.
World Labor Protection Day is an important tool in terms of raising awareness about safety and improving working conditions in the workplace, activating the existing traditional potential of a three-pronged approach and social dialogue.
This year's central theme will be "Studying the impact of climate change on occupational safety and health", which proposes to consider the issues of climate influence on working conditions and workers' health through the prism of the formation of new occupational risks. Changing weather conditions have a noticeable impact on the world of work, especially affecting the safety and health of workers.
According to the ILO, two million men and women die every year from diseases and accidents worldwide.
It's time to stop this process! It's time to make the work of every employee in every workplace safe and healthy!

On September 23, 2023, in honor of Labor Day, a solemn meeting was held with representatives of various professions, excellent workers who made a significant contribution to the prosperity, socio-economic development of the Mangystau region.
