Family and demographic policy

The main objects of commission are:
1.Making recommendations to determine priorities, form and implement comprehensive public policies for the family, gender equality in the Family and Gender Policy concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030, and international treaties concerning family and gender equality, which Kazakhstan is a participant in;
2. Interaction with state bodies and institutions of civil society on questions of the protection of the rights of the family, implementation of the United Nations Millennium Declaration, Kazakhstan Concept on Family and Gender Policy for 2030;
3. Analysis of the status of women and family-demographic situation, formulation of proposals and recommendations to public authorities on the main areas of gender and family-demographic policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The commission assists
-In achieving equal opportunity for women and men in the economic sphere, further developing entrepreneurship among women, and improving women's competitiveness on the labor market;
-In creating conditions for family members to reconcile work and family life, and raising children;
-In strengthening of the family institution, equal opportunities for women and men in family relations;
-Developing a set of measures to preserve and strengthen the population's health, including reproductive health, and enhance their quality of life;
- End domestic and workplace violence and implement international expertise in dealing with violence against men, women, and children;
- Gender and public education;
- Conducting research, forming an information base for the analysis of the real situation of the family, equality of opportunities of women and men in economic, social, political and cultural life of society;
- Improving the demographic situation.
