On October 24, 2014, a Government resolution was adopted Of the Republic of Kazakhstan for № 1134 on the admission of the city airport Kyzylorda to support international flights of aircraft.

Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2015 No. 871 «On certain issues of transfer of state property from republican ownership to communal ownership» state block of shares JSC «Korkyt Ata Airport» in the amount of 100% transferred from
republican ownership to communal ownership Kyzylorda region.

To date, 22 flights a week are carried out through Korkyt Ata Airport JSC, including: to Nur-Sultan - 10, Almaty - 10 flights, Karaganda - 2 flights. These flights are operated by the airlines «Air Astana», «Southern Sky» and «Fly Arystan».

December 24, 2021 with the Private Foundation «Bulat Foundation Utemuratova» an agreement was signed on the construction of a new airport terminal under the project «Construction of a new passenger terminal of the Korkyt Ata airport in the city Kyzylorda».

The Fund intends to fully finance the project.

Implementation dates: February 2023 - September 2024.

Project cost: about 25 million US dollars.

The future terminal will meet all the necessary requirements of international standards and provide appropriate conditions for passengers.
