FORESTRY:
The total land area of the state forest fund in the territory of the Kyzylorda region is 6.5 million hectares, of which 3.1 million hectares are forest lands. 89 % of the forest area is occupied by the main forest-forming saxaul plantations.
In order to protect, preserve and reproduce forests in the Kyzylorda region, there are 8 institutions in the field of forestry.
In 2020, 11.3 thousand hectares of forest planting were carried out on the lands of the state forest Fund, of which 6.3 thousand hectares were carried out on the drained bottom of the Aral Sea.
In addition, work was carried out to promote the natural reproduction of forests on an area of 2,950 hectares.
In the autumn of this year, the volume of forest nurseries for growing seedlings was increased from 22.6 hectares to 100 hectares.
To control the sanitary condition of the forest fund, forest-botological studies were carried out on an area of 594.1 thousand hectares.
In addition, in 2020, at the expense of the republican budget, work was carried out on the chemical treatment of damaged saxaul gallicia on an area of 12 thousand hectares of saxaul.
In order to prevent and detect violations of forest legislation in the areas of the state forest fund, forestry institutions organized 285 raids, identified 21 cases of forest violations. Of these, 2 cases of illegal logging of saxaul.
As a result, damage to nature was caused in the amount of 467.6 thousand tenge, of which 420.0 thousand tenge and an administrative fine in the amount of 216.8 thousand tenge were collected.
In order to prevent and eliminate forest fires, 9 units of fire-fighting equipment and 54 employees work in forestry institutions.
488 km of mineralized strips were carried out, renovation works were carried out on 3,229 km, as well as 101 pieces of sold-out houses and panels were installed in fire-prone areas.
At the same time, 2,729 memos were distributed in settlements and agricultural producers, 37 articles were published through the mass media and 276 explanatory works were carried out.
In addition, in order to improve the environmental situation through the financing of the Republic of Korea, the project "Phytoormanmelioration works on the drained bottom of the Aral Sea"was implemented through the Biodiversity Conservation Fund. Within the framework of this project, work was carried out on planting saxaul on an area of 13.3 thousand hectares (2018 - 5 thousand hectares, 2019 - 5.8 thousand hectares, 2020 – 2.5 thousand hectares).
In accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, resulting from the Address to the People of Kazakhstan on tree planting (2 billion rubles). and in settlements of 15 million), in the forest fund in the next 5 years, according to the Comprehensive Plan, 177.5 million seedlings are planned to be planted on the drained bottom of the Aral Sea on an area of 213.1 thousand hectares.
