The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev, at a meeting of the Council on Anti-Corruption Issues, stated:
“An uncompromising fight against corruption is one of the key priorities of our policy. In order to establish the rule of law and build a truly legal state, first of all, it is necessary to eradicate corruption at its roots.”
In this regard, he emphasized that the fight against corruption, which is a disease of society, will remain on the agenda.
Accordingly, systematic work has been carried out by the Akimat of the Syrdarya District in the field of anti-corruption.
In particular, in order to prevent corruption, increase the transparency of government bodies and institutions, enhance the legal awareness of the population, monitor compliance with ethical standards among civil servants, and analyze corruption risks, a Commission on Anti-Corruption Issues (hereinafter – the Commission) was established under the district akimat. The Commission includes heads of local representative and executive bodies, heads of law enforcement agencies, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations. A work plan for 2025 was approved.
According to the plan, in 2025 the Commission held 4 meetings, during which 9 issues were considered.
At the Commission meetings, reports of heads of independent district departments were heard; based on the results, specific instructions were given and fully implemented.
In addition, on a quarterly basis, explanatory work and legal training were conducted for employees of independent departments subordinate to the akimat, as well as for the staff of the akim offices of the settlement and rural districts, in accordance with current legislation.
In this regard, by Order No. 301/NQ dated July 31, 2023, of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the rules for implementing project management were approved, and six standard basic directions mandatory for all government bodies were defined.
