As part of the information and explanatory work among the population, on September 24, 2025, UAPF JSC announced changes in the tax code of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the tax on lump-sum pension payments. Digital UAPF – for the convenience of depositors" holds an open day. On July 18, 2025, the head of state signed a new tax code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It provides for exemption from personal income tax (IIT) from January 1, 2026 from income in the form of pension payments from the UAPF, one-time pension payments for housing/treatment (IIT). However, this change has nothing to do with payments from the UAPF to non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Also, from January 1, 2026, tax deductions applied within the limits established by the tax code will be canceled from income subject to taxation at the source of payment for voluntary pension contributions transferred in their favor. At the same time, voluntary pension contributions transferred by the employer to the Unified accumulative pension fund in favor of the employee are not considered income of an individual (respectively, personal income tax is not subject), and for the employer these expenses are deductible when calculating corporate income tax. That is, in this case, the tax deduction can be used by both the employee and the employer.
