In order to involve the general population in Physical Culture and sports, the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and tourism of the Syrdarya District operates physical culture and sports institutions – 2 sports schools, 1 Sports Club, 1 public fund within the framework of the social order and 1 children's and youth Physical Education Training Club. Currently, there are 2 stadiums in the district (Terenozek village and N. Ilyasov Village), 6 sports complexes (2-Terenozek Village, 1-Akzharma, 1-N. Ilyasov Village, 1-Shagan Village, 1 – Besaryk village), 28 sports halls, 21 adjacent sports halls, 74 flat devices. The number of all physical culture and sports facilities is 130. These sports facilities are provided free of charge. The number of physical education teachers and coaches in the district is 274, of which 257 are specialists with higher education, 17 are specialists with secondary special education. In general education schools-134 physical education teachers, the number of sports coaches – teachers is 86. In total, the sections of Physical Culture and sports include 555 Physical Culture and Recreation and sports clubs. They are engaged in such sports as weightlifting, basketball, boxing, volleyball, hand ball, judo, freestyle wrestling, athletics, field hockey, taekwondo, table tennis, football, belt wrestling, weightlifting, checkers, hand wrestling, junior football, chess, asyk ATU, Bes asyk, Kazakh kures, togyzkumalak, grappling, Pankration, Karate-Do, Sambo, all-around.
