Benefits for the rural population

Law "On education" of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 27, 2007

1. Teaching staff have social guarantees for:
1) housing, including office and (or) dormitories, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) annual paid labor leave of 56 calendar days for teachers and persons equated to them in organizations of secondary General, technical and professional, post-secondary, higher and postgraduate education; 42 calendar days - for teachers of organizations of educational and methodological support, preschool and additional education.
2. The pedagogical educators working in rural areas, according to the decision of local representative bodies:
1) salaries and tariff rates increased by at least twenty-five percent in comparison with the rates of teaching staff engaged in teaching activities in urban conditions are established;
2) monetary compensation is paid at a time to cover expenses for utilities and for the purchase of fuel for heating residential premises at the expense of budget funds in the amounts established by the decision of local representative bodies;
2-1.additional social support measures provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan are provided to educational Teachers working in rural areas.
2-2. educational Teachers who work in rural areas and have livestock in personal ownership are provided with feed, land plots for grazing and haymaking by decision of local representative and Executive bodies.
3. Teaching staff of educational organizations are paid annually at the expense of the corresponding budgets:
1) in state educational organizations, the health improvement allowance is provided once a calendar year when they are granted regular labor leave in the amount determined by the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) the holder of the title "Best University teacher" - a state grant in the amount of 2,000 times the monthly calculation index, the direction of expenditure of which is determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) the holder of the title "Best teacher" - remuneration in the amount of 1,000 times the monthly calculation index.
