In the field of animal husbandry, there is a positive trend, the number of livestock is steadily growing, and the volume of products produced is increasing.
As of March 1, 2022, 367.9 thousand heads of cattle, 714.5 thousand heads of sheep and goats, 188.4 thousand heads of horses, 54.6 thousand heads of camels and 123.3 thousand heads of poultry were registered in the region. In comparison with the same period last year, the number of cattle increased by 4.9%, sheep and goats-by 1.5%, horses-by 15.1%, camels-by 4.9%.
During this reporting period, 5.9 thousand tons of meat (in live weight), 11.3 thousand tons of milk and 750.9 thousand eggs were produced, compared to the same period of 2021, meat production increased by 1.0%, milk production-by 1.8%.
