Currently, 87 physical culture collectives are registered in the district. 27,689 people (34% of the total population of the district) regularly engage in physical culture and sports in them.
According to statistical reports, 246 sports facilities are registered in the district. Among them: 2 sports complexes, 1 stadium, 54 sports halls, 14 adapted sports halls, 4 shooting ranges, 171 flat sports grounds: 40 artificial turf playgrounds, 1 sports core, 19 football fields, 111 non-standard sports grounds.
In total, 313 specialists work in the field of sports in the district (296 with special education 95.49%), of which 193 teachers teach in 50 general education schools in physical culture, 151 of them with special education (99.39%).
In this direction, 86 sports events were held in 6 months of this year in order to develop mass sports among the population of the district, 4 of them republican, 6 intercity, 56 district, 28 village, intra-village, intra-institutional. Of these, 10 sports events were held in rural areas and 9,312 people took part in these sports events.
Since the beginning of the year, the athletes of the district have achieved significant success. In the official competitions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (championships and Championships of the Republic of Kazakhstan), athletes of the district won 39 medals. Of these, 8 gold, 14 silver, 15 bronze. Of these, 1 silver at the World Championships, 1 bronze and 2 gold at the Asian Championships.

In order to develop mass sports among the population of the district, 99 sports events were held in 2021, including 5 championships of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 9 regional, 57 district, 26 village, intra-village and intra-institutions. 26 sports events were held in rural areas and in these sports events.
Since the beginning of the year, the athletes of the district have achieved significant success. In the official competitions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (championships and Championships of the Republic of Kazakhstan), athletes of the district won 59 medals. In order to develop mass sports among the population of the district, 64 sports events were held in 9 months of this year, 4 of them republican, 6 regional, 36 district, 15 village, intra-village and intra-institutions. 15 sports events were held in rural areas and 3,879 people took part in these sports events.

In order to popularize a healthy lifestyle and develop mass sports, an annual plan of measures has been approved and implemented. According to the plan, these are district sports contests, prevention of law-breaking, praznechnye days, as well as merropiyatiya in the memory of famous people of the district.
In this direction, for 9 months of this year, 138 sports events were held for the development of mass sports among the population of the region, including 7 republican, 93 - district, 31 - rural, rural, inter-district. In rural areas, 49 sports events were held, in which 21,827 people took part.
Since the beginning of the year, the athletes of the district have won 106 medals at official competitions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (national championships and championships). Of these, 25 gold, 30 silver, 53 bronze medals.
The athletes of the district won 11 medals at the Asian Championship. Of these, 7 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
At the World Championships, the athletes of the district won 3 gold medals.
