In the third quarter of 2026, the Department of Internal State Audit for the Ulytau Region intensified its efforts to control the transparent and efficient use of budget funds.
The Department actively utilizes the «Online Budget Monitoring» information system, which enables prompt tracking of financial transactions and timely identification of risks of inefficient or misappropriated use of budget funds.
Based on the monitoring results, suspicious payments were identified in a number of sectors. In the education sector, 2,138 notifications were sent totaling 1.07 billion tenge; in the healthcare sector — 53 notifications for 15.1 million tenge; and in the culture and sports sector — 386 notifications for 69.8 million tenge. Payments in the latter area are currently under review.
The work has already yielded tangible results. Following the audit activities conducted, 23.5 million tenge was returned to the budget.
These results demonstrate that control over budget funds is aimed not only at detecting violations but also at recovering funds to the state treasury and strengthening financial discipline.
