The Ethics Commissioner is a public servant responsible for ensuring compliance with professional ethics standards, preventing violations of public service legislation, combating corruption, and upholding the Code of Ethics for Civil Servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as advising civil servants and citizens within the scope of their authority.
In April 2026, in accordance with Order No. 10-ЖҚ of the Head of the Department of Internal State Audit for Zhambyl Region, the duties of the Ethics Commissioner were assigned to Deputy Head of the Department A. Baikuanyshov.
The Department of Internal State Audit for Zhambyl Region conducts ongoing preventive measures aimed at preventing corruption and ensuring civil servants' compliance with professional ethics standards.
To prevent violations of ethical standards and combat corruption, seminars are regularly held with the participation of representatives from the anti-corruption service and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs. This year, one of the important steps was the ban on civil servants' participation in gambling and betting. The Department organizes preventive activities for employees and publishes articles aimed at informing the public about these new requirements.
A seminar was organized among employees to prevent corruption and demonstrate its negative consequences.
To strengthen the positive image of public service, materials are published in the media and television reports on the achievements of civil servants are broadcast. Training is also organized for citizens entering public service for the first time or returning to it after a break. During these training sessions, anti-corruption restrictions and requirements related to public service are explained.
