The Department of Internal State Audit for the City of Astana of the Internal State Audit Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has summarized the results of its work on reviewing appeals from citizens and legal entities for the first half of 2026.
During the reporting period, the Department received a total of 1,319 appeals, including 931 applications, 283 complaints, 9 proposals, and 96 other submissions (notifications, requests, and feedback).
Of the total number of appeals received, 1,003 were reviewed within the Department's competence. As a result of the review, the arguments presented by the applicants were confirmed in 9 cases. Audit activities were conducted in relation to these cases to verify compliance with legislative requirements and the targeted use of budget funds.
At the same time, 316 appeals were forwarded to the relevant state authorities within their respective competence for further consideration and decision-making.
The analysis of the appeals received showed that the largest number of issues concerned compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement, including the cancellation of public procurement procedures and the conduct of cameral control. A significant proportion of the appeals also related to remuneration of employees in the education sector.
To ensure the prompt and high-quality review of appeals and the adoption of timely and well-founded decisions, the Department reminds applicants of the importance of complying with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan when submitting appeals, including correctly identifying the type of appeal and attaching documents supporting the arguments presented.
