Corruption is still one of the pressing problems in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This phenomenon not only negatively affects the effectiveness of the public administration system, but also restrains the socio-economic development of the country, reduces its investment attractiveness and undermines citizens' confidence in state institutions.
Corruption is a global problem common to many countries around the world. Therefore, the fight against it is carried out both at the international and national levels. In Kazakhstan, anti-corruption has been identified as one of the priority areas of state policy.
The state is taking comprehensive measures to improve legislation, digitalize the public services system, increase the responsibility of law enforcement agencies, ensure the transparency of the public service and strengthen public control. The main goal of this work is to ensure the rule of law, protect the rights of citizens and strengthen the principles of justice in society.
Of particular importance in the prevention of corruption is the digitalization of public services. The transfer of public services to electronic format makes it possible to reduce direct contacts between citizens and civil servants, which helps to reduce corruption risks. Along with this, an important task remains to increase the openness and accountability of the activities of state bodies.
In the Turkestan region, systematic work is also being carried out to prevent corruption and form an anti-corruption culture. In particular, the Department of Internal State Audit in the Turkestan Region, along with the implementation of state audit and financial control measures, on an ongoing basis, organize explanatory and preventive measures among civil servants and audit facilities.
Employees of the Department during the audit pay special attention to compliance with the standards of official ethics, the requirements of the law, as well as the effective and targeted use of public funds. In addition, through a survey at the audit sites, feedback is collected on the activities of auditors and measures are taken to prevent corruption risks.
In the course of explanatory work carried out in the Turkestan region, civil servants are explained in detail the requirements of anti-corruption legislation, the norms of official ethics and the consequences of committing offenses. Such events contribute to strengthening the principles of honesty, fairness and responsibility among civil servants.
A special role in the fight against corruption belongs to society. This is the responsibility not only of state bodies, but of the whole society as a whole. Every citizen must comply with the requirements of the law and show intolerance to corruption and any illegal actions. Family, educational institutions, media and social organizations play an important role in shaping the values of honesty and justice among young people.
The development of public control institutions, the active civic position of the population and the openness of state bodies are important factors in reducing the level of corruption. Only joint actions of the state and society can create an effective barrier to corruption.
