The Department of internal state audit for Akmola region continues to monitor budget funds in real time using the module "Online budget monitoring".
The module "Online budget monitoring" is applied in education, health, culture, sports and tourism. It allows real-time monitoring of the budget’s targeted spending, including payroll.
Special attention is paid to the analysis of transfers to employee account cards, which helps to identify unjustified payments masked as salaries.
Tests have already confirmed the presence of risks in a number of cases, highlighting the need for further development of digital monitoring. An integrated approach and modern technology make fiscal control more efficient and transparent.
Thus, the Department for the period from 1 January to 31 May 2026 monitored the payment of salaries through OBM and sent only 849 notifications on 11,021 risk payments:
in education 341 notifications for 9817 risk payments;
in the field of culture 470 notifications on 1942 risk payments;
Health 38 response notifications for 262 risk payments;
For 29 risky payments, for which the facts of illegal payments were confirmed, funds are returned to the state budget.
The Department, in case of failure to notify and high risks being maintained by the object of monitoring, a state audit is appointed and conducted, as a result of which officials will be identified and disciplined.
