The Department of Internal State Audit for the Zhetysu Region conducted a state audit at the State Institution "Department of Housing and Communal Services of the City of Taldykorgan".
The audit was carried out based on an appeal received through the Department of Economic Investigations for the Zhetysu Region of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring and covered issues of compliance with legislation in the execution of contractual obligations within the framework of the project "Reconstruction of the Aryk Networks of the City of Taldykorgan".
As a result of the audit, financial violations amounting to 25,056.2 thousand tenge were identified, as well as procedural violations related to the accrual of penalties, amounting to 73,616.6 thousand tenge.
It was established that, in violation of the requirements of budget legislation, an unjustified payment was made to the contractor for work performed.
Based on the audit results, the entity was given recommendations to eliminate the causes of the identified violations, conduct appropriate measures, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
The audit materials have been sent to law enforcement agencies for legal assessment.
Currently, the amount of identified violations has been fully reimbursed to the budget revenue. Officials have been held accountable under disciplinary measures.
