Today, Kazakhstan's economy is developing in the context of digital transformation and global integration. In such realities, transparency and trust in financial data are becoming a prerequisite for business growth and increasing the investment attractiveness of the country.
Against this background, valuation activities occupy a special place as a tool that allows the state, companies and citizens to obtain an objective value of assets and property.
In recent years, evaluation activities in Kazakhstan have been gradually moving out of the "paper" routine and becoming part of the digital economy.
Today, there are 1,697 professional appraisers in the country, united into 4 self-regulatory organizations (chambers of appraisers). Their work is increasingly focused on transparency, new standards and international cooperation.
Since 2022, reporting in the field of valuation activities has been submitted through the "Unified Reporting System" implemented in the IP "Financial Reporting Depositories" (Depositories). This approach has made it possible to increase transparency, centralize data, and simplify access to it.
In addition, the current Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Evaluation Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan" (the Law) requires the preparation of evaluation reports only on paper. However, amendments have already been prepared that will make it possible to switch to an electronic format. For specialists, this means less paperwork, and for customers, it means convenience, speed, and reliability.
The Depository also has additional information on valuation activities. They contain lists of chambers of appraisers, their members, the expert council, and a list of unscrupulous appraisers.
Interested parties can access this data if they have an electronic signature. Such a system makes the market more open, provides customers with a tool to verify specialists and stimulates the professional community to work in good faith.
Thus, current trends in valuation activities in Kazakhstan are aimed at digitalization, transparency and increased trust in the results of appraisers' work. These changes not only simplify the processes for appraisers and customers, but also help strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the field of investment and economic development.
