The Department of Internal State Audit in Kostanay region held an unscheduled audit event in the state institution "Education Department of the Akimat of Kostanay Region" (hereinafter - the Institution). The reason for the check was the appeal of the chairman of the public fund "Civil Alliance of the Kostanay region "GrIn"" Utebaeva D.K.
The audit was aimed at checking the validity of the use of budget funds allocated for encouragement in the State Institution "Department of Education of the Kostanay District" by the end of 2024 in the amount of more than 2 million tenge, taking into account the arguments indicated in the appeal.
Identified violations:
During the audit, financial violations were established in the amount of more than 2 million tenge, subject to compensation. The funds were unreasonably used to purchase 14 units of office furniture, while the methodological office for which it was purchased is not included in the structure of subordinate organizations of the education department of Kostanay district.
Measures taken:
In the course of the audit, the identified violations were eliminated in full. The funds were returned, and actions recognized as violating budget legislation were discontinued.
As a result of the audit, an order was sent to the Institution to eliminate violations, as well as a recommendation to consider the issue of disciplinary liability of officials who committed these violations.
According to the official response of the Institution, according to the results of an internal review, one of the employees was brought to disciplinary responsibility in the form of a "comment."
