THE CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL LAUNCHES PROJECT «WEEK OF THE BASIC LAW»

As part of the National action plan for organizing and holding the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitutional Council launches the project «Week of the Basic Law» from
24 to 30 August this year.
The goal of the project is a deep understanding of the role of the Constitution in the modernization of society and the state, attracting the attention of the General population to the Basic Law, improving the
constitutional culture of society within the framework of the national program of Ruhani Zhangyru.
The main partners of the Constitutional Council are the Ministry of information and public development, akimats of the regions and the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent, the National chamber of entrepreneurs «Atameken» and other organizations.
Within the framework of this project, online conferences, round tables, free legal consultations, webinars, media appearances, charity events, commissioning of new facilities, handing over keys to apartments
and other events will be organized throughout the country. Both domestic and foreign experts are expected to participate in the planned events. Thus, on August 26-27, meetings and Congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and equivalent institutions will be held, as well as a meeting of members of the Eurasian Association of constitutional control bodies.
The program includes presentations of books published in honor of the next anniversary of the Basic Law, an exhibition about the stages of constitutional construction in Kazakhstan. The calendar of events can be found on the websites of the co-organizers.
