In Astana, judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with participants of the International Forum on Constitutional Justice, planted 30 pine trees in honor of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Constitution along a section of the Mäñgilik El Avenue.

The event was attended by chairpersons and judges of constitutional control bodies from Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Thailand, as well as international experts.

Chairperson of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elvira Azimova, emphasized that the Basic Law imposes on citizens the duty to preserve nature and treat natural resources with care. According to her, such joint environmental initiatives with foreign partners reflect universal values of environmental protection and sustainable development.

Foreign participants noted that the event symbolizes the aspiration to strengthen friendly ties between constitutional courts and demonstrates shared responsibility for preserving the environment for future generations.
