The World Conference on Constitutional Justice (WCCJ) promotes constitutional justice as a key element of democracy, the protection of human rights and the rule of law, while fostering judicial dialogue at the global level.
The constitutional review body of the Republic of Kazakhstan began its official engagement with the organization in 2009 as an invited participant and observer at the First World Congress. In 2013, it officially joined the WCCJ and became a full member. Since obtaining membership, representatives of Kazakhstan have regularly participated in the Congresses and meetings of the Conference’s governing bodies.
Member countries: The WCCJ brings together 125 constitutional review bodies (constitutional courts, councils and supreme courts) from countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia/Oceania and Europe.
