Skryabin Sergey Vasilyevich
Born on 2 August 1968.
Graduated from S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University (1994) with a degree in Law.
Candidate of Legal Sciences (1999).
He began his professional career as an electrical fitter at the Novo-Ilyinovsky Reinforced Concrete Structures Plant in the Taran District, Kostanay Region (07.1985–11.1986).
He worked as a fitter at the Novo-Ilyinovsky Reinforced Concrete Structures Plant in the Taran District, Kostanay Region (02.1989–07.1989); as a consultant on the Small-Scale Privatization Project in Kazakhstan for Deloitte & Touche LLP, American Legal Consortium (USAID Project) (01.1995–04.1995); and as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the Department of General Legal Disciplines of the Institute of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (06.1994–06.1999).
He served as Vice-Rector – Director of the West Kazakhstan Branch of the Adilet Higher School of Law in Aktobe (06.1999–09.2000); Assistant to the Vice-Rector for Research in the branches and Head of the Department of Legal Disciplines at the Capital Branch of the Adilet Higher School of Law in Astana (10.2000–09.2001); and Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure of the Almaty Law Academy of Kazakh Humanities and Law University in Almaty (10.2001–03.2006).
He served as Chairman of the Management Board of the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan CJSC in Astana (03.2006–05.2006); Director of the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan LLP in Astana (05.2006–01.2008); Leading Research Fellow at the Institute of Private Law LLP (since 03.2008); and Director of the Center for Legal Research at YurInfo Company LLP (2008–2009).
He worked as Chief Research Fellow at the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and as Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Private Law of Caspian University (2009).
He was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan (since 23.09.2026).
He was awarded the “Eren Enbegi Ushin” (For Distinguished Labour) Medal (2025).
