TIME TO PICK UP BROOMS: AN ECOLOGICAL FLASH MOB WAS ORGANIZED IN ARKALYK

In Arkalyk, hundreds of activists took part in an environmental flash mob as part of the republican campaign "Taza Kazakhstan", which was initiated by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev back in the spring.
Taking up rakes and brooms once again, the fighters of labor detachments, as well as representatives of public organizations and simply caring residents of the city put the Demalys Park in order. Moreover, the participants of the mass cleaning sorted the collected garbage according to all the rules for subsequent processing.
As a result, in just 2 hours, more than 10 tons of garbage were removed from the territory of the city park.
"The purpose of our urban flash mob is, as before, to draw public attention to environmental issues and, of course, to increase environmental awareness of the population," said the organizer of the event, Zhakanova Nursaya.
During the campaign, Daniyar Kozhakhmetov, a well-known public figure and activist in the field of ecology, spoke about the importance of preserving the purity of the environment and shared information about the long-term goals of the Taza Kazakhstan campaign.
"The participation of each of us in such environmental events contributes to the formation of a responsible attitude towards nature and the improvement of the environmental situation in our country," the speaker stressed.
