For their active life position and significant contribution to the development of society, the women were awarded a letter of thanks from the President

On the eve of International Women's Day – March 8, Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov presented congratulatory letters from President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dedicated to this holiday to active women of our region.
The women of our region are actively involved in all spheres of life. Following the results of the 2023 elections, the region reached a 34% level of representation of women in maslikhats at all levels. Kostanay region is represented by 6 deputies in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 of them are women.
"All conditions have been created in our region to support women and women's initiatives. It should be noted that this indicator became possible due to the active joint activities of state bodies and public organizations engaged in the promotion of gender issues," the head of the region noted.
Today, out of 6 thousand civil servants of the region, over 65% are representatives of the fair sex. 6 women head regional administrations, 7 work as deputy mayors of cities and districts (in 2020 there were 3 deputies), 36 as mayors of rural districts.
It is worth noting that today the necessary conditions have been created for the development of women's entrepreneurship. Kazakhstani women occupy leading positions in small and medium-sized businesses. Over 25 thousand enterprises and organizations of the region are headed by representatives of the fair sex.
