The Department of Emergency Situations of Kostanay region reports that according to the RSE "Kazhydromet", from March 31, 2024, the air temperature in the Kostanay region is expected to rise to +20 degrees during the day, as well as precipitation in the form of rain is expected in the middle of the week at night in the north and east of the region. In this regard, we predict a repeated deterioration of the flood situation in the southern regions of the region, as well as the transition of a complicated flood situation in the center and in the north of the region. Karasu, Auliekolsky, Naurzumsky, Kamystinsky, Sarykolsky, Altynsarinsky, Sarykolsky, Mendykarinsky and Uzunkol districts are at risk.

Water is also expected to flow through large rivers from the Russian Federation, with critical water discharge in the risk zones are Zhitikarinsky, Denisovsky, Kostanay, Karabalyk, Fedorovsky districts and the Beimbet Mailina district.

In this regard, we ask local governments to carry out the full range of necessary measures to reduce the flood threat, determine the places and routes of evacuation of the population, as well as the removal of livestock, and, if necessary, carry out early movement of the population to safe places!!!

The population also needs, where snowmelt is just beginning, to remove snow from the yard territories as much as possible, to dig drainage channels. And if necessary, prepare for evacuation.  If there is still a possibility of flooding, turn off the electricity, all heating devices, etc., move the necessary furniture, electrical equipment and personal belongings to the upper floors or attic rooms.
