The Department of Economic Investigations in Kostanay region held a round table on the topic: "Countering drops and improving the financial security of young people."
The purpose of the event is to inform the younger generation about the risks of involvement in illegal financial schemes, including the practice of using "drops" — front persons who use bank accounts and other financial instruments to cover up criminal activities.
During the meeting, the employees of the DEA in Kostanay region told the teenagers about the most common fraud schemes, shared real-life examples from practice and gave recommendations on how not to become a victim of criminals. Special attention was paid to the topic of safe handling of personal data, digital wallets and bank cards.
The participants of the round table asked questions, shared their opinions and life situations. At the end of the meeting, the children were presented with information booklets and memos on financial literacy and safe behavior in the digital space.
