We are often asked what is the difference between obtaining an IIN and citizenship. The individual identification number is a unique combination of 12 digits, which is assigned to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan at birth.

⚡️ Foreign citizens can apply for an IIN at the PSC. At the same time, an IIN can be obtained by a citizen of any foreign state for conducting business, financial transactions. The IIN is a tool that does not talk about citizenship at all.
