Preferential categories for obtaining a passport and identity card

According to Article 622 of paragraph 4 of the Tax Code, upon receipt of a passport, identity card, residence permit and certificate of a stateless person, state duty is exempt from payment:

• WWII veterans and persons equated to them;
• Heroes of the Soviet Union and Socialist Labor;
• disabled persons of all groups, as well as one of the parents of a disabled person from childhood, a disabled child;
• elderly people living in institutions for the elderly;
• orphans and children left without parental care, living in orphanages or boarding schools;
• mothers with many children awarded with "Altyn alka" and "Kumis alka" pendants;
• citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
