This was the theme of the training seminar held on October 6 for specialists of the Uzunkol district working with young people in the direction of improving religious literacy and preventing religious extremism.
Nurikan Kazhmukhanovich Nugurbekov, Head of the Department of the Center for the Study of Religious Problems of the Administration for Religious Affairs of the Akimat of Kostanay region, spoke about the basic principles of information and explanatory work, how they are implemented in Kostanay region. He gave examples of the use of modern approaches in working with young people – the student Flying Squad, which uses the principle of "equal to equal" in the transmission of information. And also presented a collection of information materials to help members of information and explanatory groups.
Yulia Kalyuzhnaya spoke about the activities of the Center for Assistance to Victims of Destructive Religious Organizations, focusing on what social skills and connections need to be developed in adolescents to form immunity to destructive religious influence. She presented a series of social videos about the principles of secularism and their implementation in various fields: in the education system, public service, family relations, and the media.
