Knowledge in the field of religion is needed not only by deeply religious people, but also by every person, because it allows them to protect themselves from the dangers associated with the activities of pseudo-religious organizations.
On September 30, Yerlan Bekishev, Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Akimat of Uzunkol district, and Yulia Kalyuzhnaya, head of the Center for Assistance to Victims of Destructive Religious Movements, visited Presnogorkovsky rural district. Together with them, high school students talked about the essence and differences of traditional religions and modern religious movements, analyzed videos, examples from practice. The guys learned that Internet recruiters, based on knowledge about the psychological characteristics of a particular age, analysis of a person's personal information, are able to find the right words, actions and involve him in their organization. But they do not involve them at all for help and support, as it seems initially, but for their own personal goals. Therefore, the speakers told about the main precautions and urged them to be observed.
