Recently, cases of children falling out of windows have become more frequent, so today two cases of children falling out of the windows of a high-rise building have been recorded in the city of Kostanay. Such cases are allowed due to the lack of a responsible approach of parents and other persons to ensuring the safety of children in residential premises.
Since the beginning of the summer season, the windows in many apartments are constantly open and the kids, not having a developed self-preservation instinct due to age, climb on the window sill, lean on a mosquito net, which is easily separated from the structure, and fall out of the window. To avoid such accidents, the Emergency Management Department of the city of Kostanay calls for adhering to the following simple rules:
Do not leave the window open, because it is enough to distract yourself for a second, which may become the last moment in the child's life or cripple it forever.
Do not use mosquito nets without appropriate window protection. The child sees a certain obstacle ahead, confidently rests on it, and as a result can fall out together with the grid, which is not designed for the weight of even a one-year-old child.
Do not leave the child unattended, especially playing near windows and glass doors.
Do not put furniture near the windows, so that the child does not climb on the window sill.
Install blockers on the windows that prevent the child from opening the window independently.
