Every year, on the eve of the heating season, in order to reduce the number of fires, deaths and injuries of people in the region, a "Fire Safety Month" is held. This stage is held from August 15 to September 15.
Issues of fire safety in the residential sector, one of the most pressing issues, so in the territories of the Uzunkol district since the beginning of the year, 14 fires have occurred in the residential sector, of which, most often occurred due to: careless handling of fire – 3 cases, short circuit of electric wires – 4 cases. The purpose of the annual fire safety month is to inform the public about the observance of elementary measures in the field of fire safety. Employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Uzunkolsky district conduct rounds of the private residential sector. During the bypass, instructions are given on compliance with fire safety Rules during the installation and operation of furnaces, during the operation of gas appliances, during the installation of electrical wiring. Violations of the PPB inevitably lead to fires. In order to prevent fires in residential buildings, it is necessary to carry out a number of fire-fighting measures. Strictly observe the gaps between the wooden structures of the building and the chimney channels of the furnaces. The width of the cuts should be at least 38 cm., clean the chimneys at least once a quarter, nail a metal sheet of at least 50 by 70 cm in size at each furnace on the combustible floor at the furnace door, and also urge our citizens of the district to take additional measures during warm weather to inspect and eliminate the detected violations on the eve of heating season.
