Task: organize and ensure the protection, protection, reproduction of forests and afforestation, regulate forest management on the territory of the state forest fund under their functional jurisdiction;

Functions:

They organize fire prevention propaganda, regular media coverage of issues related to forest conservation, and compliance with fire safety regulations in forests.;

They coordinate the work on combating forest fires in the region with the creation of special commissions for this purpose, if necessary.;

They determine the procedure for involving individuals and legal entities, as well as fire-fighting equipment, vehicles, and other facilities of organizations to extinguish forest fires, provide individuals involved in this work with transportation, fire extinguishing, nutrition, and medical care

, and organize work on the territory of the forest fund to control pests and diseases of the forest and improve its sanitary condition.;

Decisions are made to prohibit the presence of individuals on the territory of the state forest fund, to restrict the right of forest use during aviation chemical, aviation biological and aerosol control measures against pests and diseases of the forest, as well as during periods of high fire danger in the forest.;

prepare materials on the state accounting of the forest fund, the state forest cadastre, and the state monitoring of forests under their functional jurisdiction for submission to the authorized body.;

draft rates of payment for forest use on the plots of the state forest fund are being developed (with the exception of rates for uprooted timber);

Task: state regulation in the field of environmental management;

Functions:

develop, approve and implement the implementation of annual action plans for the prevention and control of forest fires in the territory of the state forest fund;

organize and conduct tenders for the provision of forest resources for long-term forest management in the areas of the state forest fund under their functional jurisdiction, with the participation of the authorized body and the local representative body of the region;

carry out the state registration of long-term and short-term forest management agreements on the sites of the state forest fund;

participation in the development of proposals for the formation of the state forest policy and its implementation;

They assist the functioning of voluntary fire fighting units in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
