The Commission for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Kostanay region was established to protect and use the objects of historical and cultural heritage of Kostanay region.
The main objectives of the Commission are:
1) assistance in the implementation of the current legislation in the field of protection and use of objects of historical and cultural heritage;
2) consideration of applications for permits for the installation of memorial plaques.
At the meetings of the Commission, proposals and recommendations are made on the following issues::
1) identification, accounting, preservation, study, use of objects of historical and cultural heritage;
2) adding objects of historical and cultural heritage to the list of preliminary registration;
3) exclusion of objects of historical and cultural heritage from the list of preliminary registration;
4) recognition of objects of historical and cultural heritage as historical and cultural monuments of local significance;
5) deprivation of the historical and cultural monument of local significance of its status;
6) establishment of monumental art structures;
7) conducting historical and cultural expertise;
8) carrying out scientific and restoration works on historical and cultural monuments;
9) conducting archaeological work;
10) sending proposals for the formation of a preliminary list of the world Cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the authorized body.
Also, at the meetings of the Commission, applications for permits for the installation of memorial plaques are considered.
