Umbetey Baiseitov Batyr mausoleum

Location of the object: Naurzum district, 26 kilometers South of the village of Karamendy.

Umbetey Batyr (1717-1814) - a native of the Argyn family, remained in the memory of the people as a fighter for freedom and independence of his native land. The first campaign of the brave young warrior was a battle against the Dzungars as part of the legendary army "myn Bala" at lake Shubar in 1726. Hardened and Mature warrior in Bulandinsky and Anarkismi battles.

After themselves Unbeta Batyr left a numerous posterity. His most famous descendant is the outstanding scientist and public figure Akhmet Baitursynov.

A memorial stone was erected at the burial site of Umbetey Batyr in the 1960s, and a mausoleum was erected in 2007.
