Key indicators of the UAPF as of January 1, 2022
As of January 1, 2022, pension savings in the amount of 13.1 trillion tenge were formed on the accounts of depositors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund. For the year, from 01.01.2021 to 01.01.2022, the amount increased by 156.6 billion tenge or 1%.
The main amount of pension savings was formed at the expense of mandatory pension contributions (OPV) and amounted to 12.7 trillion tenge (an increase of 1% over the past 12 months). The amount of pension savings on mandatory professional pension contributions (OPP) amounted to 361.0 billion tenge (there was an increase of 15%), the amount of pension savings on voluntary pension contributions (DPV) amounted to about 1.7 billion tenge.
In the 12 months of 2021, UAPF depositors contributed one and a half times more funds than in the same period last year. As of January 1, 2022, pension contributions totaling about 1.3 trillion tenge were received to depositors' accounts, which exceeded the indicator for the same period of 2021 by 255.7 billion tenge. Of the total contributions, 95.8% are receipts to the UAPF for OPV - 1.3 trillion tenge (an increase of 24% over the past 12 months), 55.6 billion tenge (an increase of 19%) were received for OPV, 799 million tenge was transferred for DPV (an increase of 48%).
In addition to the contributions of depositors themselves, a significant increase in pension savings was provided due to net investment income, which reached 1.4 trillion tenge from January 1, 2021 to January 1, 2022, which exceeds the figures of the previous year by 138.2 billion tenge or 11%. The yield on pension assets of the UAPF under the management of the National Bank of Kazakhstan since the beginning of 2021 amounted to 11.13%, with inflation of 8.4%.
The number of individual pension accounts in the UAPF as of January 1, 2022 amounted to 11.7 million units. The largest number of accounts have been opened for mandatory pension contributions (OPV) – 10,871,285 units. Next are the accounts formed at the expense of the OPPV, 547,136 units, the number of accounts at the expense of the DPV in the UAPF is now 61,604 units.
Since the beginning of the year, the UAPF has paid 2.9 trillion tenge to depositors, most of them were lump-sum pension payments (EPO) for the purpose of improving housing conditions and treatment - 2.6 trillion tenge. Payments by age - 101.4 billion tenge. Transfers to insurance organizations amounted to about 60.5 billion tenge, inheritance payments - 57.5 billion tenge, payments in connection with permanent residence outside the Republic of Kazakhstan - 41.3 billion tenge, funeral payments - 5.4 billion tenge and disability payments - 2.2 billion tenge.
It is worth noting that the amount of the average monthly payment according to the schedule from the UAPF (due to reaching retirement age) it amounted to 28,471 tenge, and the maximum amount of monthly payment was 707,326 tenge.
