On June 29, 2021, Galina Shchigel applied to the election commission of the Karasuk district with a statement of consent to run as a candidate for akim of the Karasuk rural district as an independent candidate.
The Election Commission of the Karasuk district is currently taking measures to establish the candidate's compliance with the requirements imposed on him by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Local Public Administration and Self-Government in the Republic of Kazakhstan", "On Public Service in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
According to the Calendar plan of the main events, the nomination of candidates for akims of the Karasu rural district ends at 18.00 local time on July 9, 2021.
