New increased amounts from January 2021 were received not only by pensioners, but also by recipients of benefits. The amount of allowances for the birth of a child, child care, special state allowances, allowances for mothers with many children, large families with four or more minor children living together, including children studying full-time, has been increased due to an increase in the monthly calculation index.

The amount of disability and survivor benefits has been increased due to changes in the subsistence level. The amount of social payments from the State Social Insurance Fund in case of disability and loss of breadwinner has been increased by 5 %.

"In general, in the Kostanay region, the increase in the amount of payments from January 1, 2021 affected 337 thousand recipients of pensions and benefits. The monthly demand for pensions and benefits in the region since January 2021 amounted to 16 billion tenge. Including for the payment of pensions and basic payments – 13 billion. Taking into account the increase in the amount of social payments from January 1, 2021, the monthly need of our region for the payment of pensions and benefits increased by 310 million tenge, " Gulsum Haasanova summed up.

Recall that according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Pension Provision in the Republic of Kazakhstan", an increase in the retirement age for women is provided for in the period from 2018 to 2027 (that is, for 10 years every 6 months). Therefore, on January 1, 2021, the appointment of age-based pension payments, including the basic pension payment, will be made to women upon reaching the retirement age of 60 years, with the exception of women who are entitled to benefits for early retirement only:
