Medical assistance to the population of the district is provided by the district hospital-1, rural hospital-1, paramedic and midwifery points-8, medical points -19.

The district has 26 doctors and 133 secondary health workers. The need for the number of beds: CRH-26, SB-24 beds

In 2019, 8 young specialists arrived, 3 of them from South Kazakhstan region: 4 General practitioners, 2 obstetrician-gynecologist, 1 resuscitator-anaesthetist, 1 surgeon. Despite this, the shortage of personnel remains an urgent problem. 2 more General practitioners are needed in Karasu district.

To attract and retain health professionals in the area is solved through the provision of measures of social support. According to the state program "With a Diploma to the village" during the reporting period, 4 employees of this sphere were granted lifting allowances in the amount of 707.0 thousand tenge and budget loans in the amount of 14 million 811 thousand tenge . In addition, each doctor was allocated a lifting fee from the state institution "health Department of Kostanay region akimat" in the amount of 1,500,000 tenge. From the Karasu CRH, grants in the amount of 150,0 thousand tenge and the October SB 200,0 thousand tenge were allocated.

15.4 million tenge was allocated to strengthen the material and technical infrastructure of medical organizations.

CSHI

Since January 1, 2020, our healthcare system has switched to the system of compulsory social health insurance. Now medical services are divided into two packages – guaranteed volume of free medical care and CSHI.

I would like to note that the introduction of CSHI does not cancel the guaranteed amount of free medical care. In the guaranteed volume of free medical care, all Kazakhstanis, oralmans and foreigners with a residence permit will be provided for free ambulance, primary health care (therapist, General practitioner, paramedic, nurse, midwife), emergency inpatient care, palliative care (support for seriously ill patients), as well as a full range of medical care for socially significant and chronic diseases (Oncology, tuberculosis, diabetes, hypertension, etc.), including medication.

The CSHI package includes:

• receiving consulting and diagnostic assistance (consultations of specialized specialists in the diagnosis, treatment and control of diseases; screenings for early detection of arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma, oncopathology;
• specialized examinations of children, expensive diagnostic services, including laboratory services);
• outpatient drug provision, assistance in day hospitals, planned inpatient care, rehabilitation and rehabilitation treatment;

Unemployed people need to register with the employment center, only in this case they will receive the status of insured.
