The property tax payment deadline expires on October 2

The State Revenue Department for the city of Kostanay reminds that on October 2, 2023, the deadline for paying the property tax of individuals for 2022 expires. This year, the payment deadline has been postponed from October 1 to October 2 due to the fact that the last payment deadline falls on Sunday (a non-working day).

If you own dwellings, buildings, country houses, garages, parking spaces, structures, premises, land plots and other buildings on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, then you need to pay tax for them.

The tax on the objects of taxation of individuals is calculated by the tax authorities no later than July 1 of the year following the reporting tax period at the location of the object of taxation, regardless of the taxpayer's place of residence, by applying the appropriate tax rate to the tax base, taking into account the actual period of ownership on the property of the objects of taxation of individuals, the rights to which were registered before January 1 of the year following the reporting tax period.

Notification of the amount of taxes calculated by the tax authority is sent to the taxpayer no later than 10 working days from the date of calculation, where the amount of tax, the CBC and other details are indicated.

Information about the calculated tax amounts is available through the utility bill, in the personal account on the Egov portal.kz, in the e-Salyq Azamat mobile app. In addition, PUSH notifications about upcoming payments were sent to customers of mobile applications of JSC "Kaspi Bank" and JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan". To clarify the amount of tax to be paid, you can use the "Upcoming payments" service on the website of the State Revenue Committee.

Please note that you need to pay the tax only once: either through a receipt from public utilities, or using mobile applications and other available methods.

In case of late payment, a penalty fee will be charged, so we advise you to pay the tax in advance.
