The minimum turnover for VAT registration from January 1, 2022 is set at 20,000 times the monthly calculation index (MCI), determined by the Law on the Republican Budget and effective on January 1 of the corresponding fiscal year.
Since January 1, 2022, the MCI has amounted to 3,063 tenge, therefore, the minimum threshold for VAT registration is now 61,260,000 tenge.
In 2021, the threshold was 30,000 times the MCI, respectively, the minimum threshold for VAT registration was 87,510,000 tenge.
