The department's functionality consists of such items as: monitoring food prices, exercising, within the competence of the state, control over compliance with the maximum allowable retail prices, and the amount of trade allowances for socially significant food products.
On an ongoing basis, cooperation is carried out with the joint-stock company "SEC Tobol" in terms of the sale of products of the regional stabilization fund of food products in the retail network of the city of Kostanay.
Data on acreage, yields and gross harvests of crops are monitored on an ongoing basis, as well as compliance with crop cultivation technology by agricultural units.
One of the main tasks of the department is to provide high-quality and timely government services in the field of technical inspection:
