Active work is carried out through the mass media. 118 mass media outlets are registered in Kostanay region, including 88 print, online publications, news agencies, and 30 electronic media.
According to the Rules for placing a state order for the implementation of state information policy at the republican and regional levels, the regional commission on State information policy in the Kostanay region operates under the Department of Public Development. The Commission includes representatives of the media, NGOs, as well as government agencies.
The activities of the Regional Communications Service contribute to ensuring high-quality interaction between the media and government agencies. Briefings of the first heads of state bodies, mayors of cities and districts are held at the RSC site. 43 briefings have been held since the beginning of the year.

Every year, the Kostanay region hosts a Regional media Forum - a traditional dialogue platform for discussing topical issues of interaction between government agencies and the media, developing a strategy for further development of the information space of the Kostanay region.
In order to improve the professional level of government officials and develop the media space, journalists, civil servants, press secretaries, and press services are trained on an ongoing basis.
In order to prevent the destabilization of the situation in society, the unified information headquarters continues to work, an algorithm for informing the population and promptly responding to negative, resonant and fake publications is in effect. Daily informing of the population about the current situation in the region is provided.
